Weekly Ad Revamp

The weekly ads were essential for our loyal customers, but there were major pain points to be addressed.

The Weekly Ad project aimed to redesign a digital advertisement platform to improve usability and customer satisfaction. The existing design posed significant challenges for navigation, search functionality, and offer comprehension. Our team sought to create a fresh, user-friendly experience that aligned with customer needs and expectations.

The Challenge

Customer feedback gathered through Qualtrics surveys highlighted key pain points:

Difficult Navigation

Customers found it challenging to manage and locate specific products within the ad.

Poor Searchability

Users had to scroll through the entire digital flyer to find items of interest.

Confusing Offers

Discounts and coupons were unclear, making it hard to identify which promotions applied to which products.

Inability to Shop

Items in the ad were viewable but not purchasable directly from the interface.
These issues hindered the overall user experience and reduced engagement with the Weekly Ad.

The Approach

To address these challenges, we followed a customer-centric, data-driven design process:

Our team, part of the Qualtrics reporting team, collected and analyzed customer feedback to identify recurring issues. Insights from this analysis guided our solution development.

Understanding the Problem

Solution Ideation & Design:

Based on feedback, we proposed the following solutions:

Category-Based Navigation:

We introduced grouped category bubbles (e.g., BonusCash, Coupons, Grocery, Health, Beauty) to simplify navigation. This allowed users to browse specific sections effortlessly.

Enhanced Search Functionality

A search bar at the top of the page made it easy for users to locate specific products without scrolling through the entire ad.

Offer Clarity

Offers and qualifying products were matched through dropdown menus and suggestions, ensuring users could quickly identify relevant deals.

Integrated Shopping Experience:

All items on the Weekly Ad became available for purchase directly within the interface, streamlining the shopping process
